Recommendation for low power draw USB 3 portable drive

I need a 1 tb portable drive that will alternate use on a USB 3 equipped desktop and also on a USB 2 equipped audio player (Bryston BDP 1). Are any of the WD portable drives lower power consumption than others? I would like to reliably power the drive from a USB port. There is no second available port to use a Y cable to increase current in this instance.

Any comments or recommendations from your experience would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

All WD USB  portable drives require between 500 and 1000 mA in order to work properly. From my experience I can say that a 1TB My Passport  will do the job (WDBBEP0010BBK-NESN).
