Problem in WD portable hard drive

Hi every one

I have a portable hard drive and i have a strange problem with that. when i connect to pc, windows recognise my hard drive but cannot to open it. i can see the drive but openenig process is very long. can you please help me? i need to my information on hrad dirive.

Hello,

Just for testing purposes I recommend that you try it on another computer and if possible also try another USB cable.

You may also run a diagnostic on the drive using Western Digital’s Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool.
