Portable HD work on PC not Laptop

Hello,

My portable harddrive can only work on PC when plugged in the back, and not on my laptop. Is there any way to make it work on my laptop (it used to work fine then it stopped working).

Make sure you are not using a longer cable than the one supplied and don’t use a hub. Also make sure the laptop is plugged into the wall.
