hello evryone

i m looking to buy a 1TB external harddrive for my laptop(windows) can anyone here tell me whats the difference between these two drives except the software that comes with my passport

which drive is newer of these two and better??

The 2 belong to the same generation, the only difference is that the Passport has additional software for backup and physical encryption (Good for computers, but may not work on other devices) while the Elements is a plain drive with no software or additional features (Good for overall use).

The best one depends on your taste, I like the Elements more because it’s more plain and doesn’t come with options I know I won’t use.
