Please help: PS3 wont recognize My Passport 1TB formatted to FAT32

Hi have Im gonna tear my hair off. I have been trying to fix this with no success.

I have this my passport I formatted to FAT32 it using all the programs available but my PS3 still does not recognize it.

When I connect to PS3, I hear a click/beep ?

Weird thing is that it works on my TV usb plug and all my computers but no PS3?

Please I need help I am thinking of returning it for a refund.

I heard I have to get a USB HUB but anyone can suggest me which usb hub would make my passport work?

I am also considering returning it and get instead the WD Elements 1TB Portable External Hard Drive (WDBPCK0010BBK-NESN).

If I get WD element would I still need an USB hub?

I think the PS3 may not be putting out enough power to run the drive. You might try a power booster cable. It’s Y shaped and uses 2 prots on the device supplying power. Personally I would get a powered drive instead of a USB powered one. Unless you want the Smartware I’d also recommend the Elements drive.
