We use two alternating WD Passport Essential portable drives. Before the upgrade in software to ver. 2.x, we often had trouble getting larger files to backup. Sometimes, we would leave the drive attached overnight, and it would pick up the larger files; sometimes not. Sometimes upgrades improved this.
When we first updated to 2.0, we did NOT have the problem, and the most critical of these large files backed up fine. However, although this file is updated every Friday, the latest backed up version now appears to be April 12. Is there a way to manually be sure that the newest version backs up? Is there something I’m missing that may be interfering with the automatic backup?
