I am using OS X 10.9.2 software. I plug-in my Passport Ultra and nothing happens. No installation wizard appears or anything. I did install the WD drive utiltities and I am taken directly to the Diagnostics tests.
From the WD website, I downloaded an installer but I still don’t have the option of setting up my harddrive for the first time.
Anyone out there can offer help, I would be grateful.
Physical external disk drives use system drivers and do not need additional installation procedures other than partitioning/formatting for clean use. Your WD Passport Ultra should be displayed in Finder once connected.
