My passport ultra 2TB won't show up

My passport ultra won’t show up in My Computer or disk management but shows up in device manager. The light is on and I can hear it working. I tried changing the wire and plugging it into different USB ports and computers. What should I do?

Welcome to the Community. How long has it been since the device is behaving this way? Have you tried replacing the USB 3.0 cable with a micro USB 2.0 cable in order to force USB 2.0 and test a USB 3.0 controller issue?

It’s been this way for a couple of days. And I’ve tried what you suggested, but it still didn’t show up in my disk management. I don’t think the problem is with the cable, I think it could be from the driver as the computer isn’t initializing it as a disk. How can I get the computer to detect it so I can access my files?

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.
