My Passport doesn't show up on my computer, but shows up in Disk Management

So, It shows on Disk Managemet, not My Computer; it reads that it needs to be initialized. When I try to initialized, it reads that the media is write protected. What do I do?

It sounds like corruption. Maybe something like TestDisk http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk or EaseUS Partition Recovery http://www.ptdd.com/ will work
