Help! My brand new Passport Ultra is no longer showing up as a drive under MY COMPUTER. When I go to Devices and printers I do see it there and all details show the device is working properly. I even see the button to eject the device, but I cannot find any option to select the drive and contents there in. How can I access my files? Many thanks, Sonia

Sorry I have an update! The drive showed up as Disk 1 with 931 GB Unallocated which doesn’t make sense since there was tons of material on the drive. Thanks, Sonia
The drive may be corrupt, not removing it properly is a frequent cause. You can try data recovery software Recuva is free.
TestDisk http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk might fix it it’s free. If you are thinking about professional recovery then do nothing. Sometimes you can access the data by booting from a Linux Live CD.
