I have the exactly same issue.
Looking into the device manager it appears with a warning symbil.
I unstalled the driver
Unplugged the drive
Reconnected the drive and got the following error : The driver coudl not be installed
The original message was in french, this is an approx. translation.
It appears under the name “WDSES Device USB Device”
Is the drive Kaputt ?
Or is it worth to look for some driver ?
