Hello everyone,

I would like to buy the My Passport Essential WD external 2,5" harddrive (WDBACY5000ABK-EESN) to connect to my satelite TV receiver (Sagemcom DSI87 (HD) as an external storage to record some programmes from satelite platform. In satelite receiver’s specification I’ve found that the maximum peak of electric current for external HDD is 500mA and the maximum physical hdd’s sector size should be 512 B.

I’ve tried to find the technical specification of this disk but I didn’t found anything helpful so I’m not sure if it would work.

This information is not available in the drive’s specifications.  I suggest you to contact WD.
