My 1 TB is not being recoganized, help pls

My External drive 1 TB is not being recoganised by the computer and it is asking me to format the drive and does not give any other options. can some one help me to recover the data !!!

As a recommendation, you can try to use the drive with a different cable and a different computer. If stills the same, you might need to use a data recovery software like Recuva
