Is this for real? WD Elements 1.5 TB USB 3 powered 2.5" portable drive?

I just saw this model in the shop over here and I wasn’t sure if this is legit or not :

The reason I am doubting if this is real is because its not even on WDC’s own website! So I am wondering if this is a scam or some illegal clone product?

Hello,

Yup, please see the link below:

Did you look at the page I posted?

This is 1.5 TB WD Element Portable Drive - the WD page you linked only list 1TB as maximum (In case it is still not clear to you - this is more than 500 GB more !!) Its NOT the same!

As far as I know there is no 1.5TB WD Element Portable Drive listed ANYWHERE on WD’s own website!!

So that’s the reason I am wondering if these are even legit WD Drives…

Anyway, if this turns out to be legit - I am wondering if WD would put out 2TB version of  WD Elements Portable - I been waiting for the 2TB 2.5" version for a long time. I could really use one!

I bought one at Best buy this week.  Thought it was great.  Sadly, it prevents my computer from booting until I unplug the drive.

For the boot problem go into the BIOS and change the boot order so USB is after HD.
