I want to copy the C: drive on our desktop to My Passport

I have a My Passport Essential WD3200MEB-00 that I’ve had for some time and I finally decided I want to back up the entire C: drive on our desktop to My Passport.  Our desktop runs Vista and recognizes the Passport by giving it a drive letter and a WD logo. I have copied “Favorites” to it successfully and now I’d like to copy the hard drive.  I read a post here in which the writer said it took 3 days to copy the C: drive.  Should I be prepared to take 3 or so days for the hard drive to back up? Is Passport really that slow? Thanks very much for your input.

Try FBackup 4 - a freeware program.  It will allows you to make an image or clone the drive.

If you just want to copy some files, try “Gyula’s Navigaor” - another freeware program. Great program but don’t accidentally delete something important.

Google for these 2 programs.
