Help!

I’m having problems with my passport essential!

I have photos stored on it but only some of the folders are showing while others are coming up with the following error message “Location is not available” - “The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error”.

I also am trying to save photos on to the hard drive and it will only copy about 3 photos over then will come up with another error message :cry: 

Has anybody any idea whats wrong.

My first guess would be that the drive is not getting enough power over the USB connection.

How do I resolve that?

I deleted any WD software from computer and reinstalled but now it just can’t access the hardrive at all. i get the ring of windows 7 ring of death! At this stage I’m hating computers!!!:angry:

It gave me an option of checking the drive for errors and it said that there were 3 and they were repaired.  Have tried to eject drive but it won’t allow me.
