How to safely eject My Passport?

My ITB WD My passport worked fine for a few weeks. Now it wont safely eject/cant be stopped (using either WD software or Windows Explore). Message says that a program is still using it. All programs are closed. If i just unplug it then it loses the partition. Any ideas. Thanks

Re: How to safely eject My Passport?

Try logging off then back on. It could be AV running in background. Go into Device Manager find the drive right click then Properties and policies tab change to better preformance and see if that makes a difference. One of my WD drives is cranky like that and logoff and logon wirks for me.
