How to make new folder & move files to WD Passport Essential

I just purchased a WD Passport Essential. I have installed the software and external hard drive. I want to use the new external drive for music and pictures. I’m trying to make a new folder on the new external passport drive, but it will not let me. The drive has been formatted with NTFS. I get the following error, “Unable to create the folder, ‘New Folder’, The system cannot find the file specified.” What is the problem? Can someone please help me with this?

What software the Smartware backup program or the firm update? Don’t make the mistake of transfering your stuff and deleting it from PC. Having important stuff on one physical HD is a bad idea.
