Good Day sir/maam , please help, im having some Problem in my WD Elements External Hard Drive, when i plug it in my laptop it say’s “DISK IS CORRUPT & UNREADABLE YOU NEED TO FORMAT BEFORE YOU CAN USE” please give me some any idea on how to troubleshoot this kind of problem without FOrmating my Hard Drive coz i have many important files in there. ,IM patiently waiting for your reply Thanks Ahead . . .

Hi nxpalos, sorry to hear you cannot access your files. The files on the Elements might be corrupted, you can try to recover them using a data recovery program, using Google you should be able to find several options. If you are unable to recover your files, you can also contact any of the data recovery companies on the WD support page, some of them offer a free evaluation of your drive.
