Harddisk is not getting detected in Win7

Hi I own a WD External HD with WDBABV0010BBK. It fell down recently and since then its not getting detected to my Win7 (Haven’t tried on any other lappy).

  1. In disk mgt it getting enumerated as “Not initialized” or “Un allocated”. When I try to initialize it, it says “Media Write protected”
  2. Its not getting listed in Diskpart → list volume

Please fix this issue ASAP. I hope my data is not lost.

Hello,

If the drive was dropped and now it is not seen then I believe the drive is damaged. If you need to recover the data I recommend you contact a data recovery company.
