Computer detects my passport as unknown

Hello. I am writing in to seek for help and advice about the matter above. 

My passport couldn’t be recognized by my computer and the other two computers as well although the light is blinking. There is an icon appeared at the device and printers’s panel.

When I checked on the Disk Management, it appears a dialogue box and required for to perform an initialization. However, I couldn’t performed it as it prompt a response saying that there is an I/O error. 

Have changed to other cable but the problem persist.

How can I access/restore my data when my devide sayes there is an IO error and asks to be reformated

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.
