Cannot read large folders on portable drive

Hey guys, is there any knowledge out there about being unable to read large folders on WD drives? This has happened to me on two different models on both PCs and Macs, but on the different models, different folders are failing to display (they’re both huge, thought). I appreciate any advice or direction anyone can provide, because these are the only sources of some very old data.

I recommend you run a diagnostic (using WD DLG) on the drive to determine the drive’s health.
