i have WD 1TB external my passport drive

sometimes it would give me Bad PCB or get recognized as SES drive

i upgraded firmware driver but only to get it completely bricked

now the light is continuously on - drive seeks but its not getting recognized.

if i keep trying sometimes it shows as SATA USB storage device but very rarily.

would be thankful if anyone can tell me what can i do to make it work :frowning:

Hello,

Make sure you are using the standard USB cable that came included with your drive. Avoid longer cables, USB extension and USB hubs.

If the issue remains you might want to try on another computer and also make sure it is plugged in to the back USB port.

If the drive still not recognized in disk management then its time to get it replaced.
