Backed up songs on ipod to My Book.. all files are missing and it says its FAT32

I went to back up my iPod onto My  Book.  It said it was unsucessful at the backup and now all my files on MY BOOK are gone.  It also says that it is a FAT32 .  What happened???  I didn’t click restore anything.  My songs are still ok on my iPod.  Those files have to be there somewhere don’t they???

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.
