So I’ve had it for a few months now and it’s been working fine since last week. When I connected it to my computer, it hums, and beeps every few seconds. The drive doesn’t show up on anything but the Devices and Printers thing, and it says it’s working correctly. I’d like to get it working again so I can back up my files, but if it’s dead, there probably isn’t much I can do. That is all.
Try running a test using DLG, if it passes the test, then you have a data corruption problem.
The SMART status says “Not Available”, so I can’t scan it. Even so, it’s still recognized by the computer. I just can’t access anything in it. I tested it on a Mac and another PC earlier today, so it doesn’t seem to be a cable problem.
