Slow remote access

It does not seem possible  to stream a 2 Mbit/s video from the WDMyCloud to my tablet by means of remote cloud access. The video “hangs” about every two seconds.

If I stream this video from within my home network it works flawlessly.

I have checked for port forwarding and that seems to be fine. According to the dashboard of the WDMyCloud that is.

So am I doing something wrong or do I just have to live with this?

what is the upload speed of your home Internet connection? both rated and actual test with speedtest.net or similar

what is your download speed at your remote location?

Your are right of course. I did not think rightly.

My upload speed is way too low. Something around 0,6 Mbit/s tested with speednet. I do not know the rated upload speed.

Download speed at remote location is 20 Mbit/s rated and actually 13 Mbit/s. So that should be fine

I don’t know why most providers restrict the upload so much. I wish they had a choice.
