Regardless, I shouldn’t have to rearange my environment to fix something that wasn’t originally broke. I can consistantly prove better performance with nfs (when working correctly) than cifs. Besides, with an entire network of *nix devices I have no desire to run CIFS either way. The only reason I didn’t return this device after purchasing it is because I found that nfs was (quitely) enabled. Granted the device doesn’t advertise NFS abilities, but then again it doesn’t specify any information regarding CIFS either. If the NFS function is no longer going to be supported then I have no use for this device. It would be cheaper and more efficient to build a small ITX machine with an array that would support whatever I want. And if that is the direction I am going to be forced to go, then so be it. Anyone looking to buy a MyCloud?
