WD Photos App cannot initialise with WD My Cloud EX2

Hello everybody,
I am facing problems with the app my photos and my New cloud my cloud ex 2. I have installed the app and I am able to connect to the cloud. Then, when i try to access the cloud for the First time, the initializing process goes to 40%, suddenly stops and gives an error that No connection is possible. The app works fine with my live book Duo though. Any ideas how to solve this? Thanks very much.

I am trying to access it locally through my own network.

I am having exactly the same problem that initialisation fails and it reports that access can not be achieved.  Strangely the app will upload photos from my tablet.

Noboby seems to have an answer to this problem.  Alternative software would appear to be Polkaast but WD need to accept its use.
