Try uninstalling and reinstalling the App.

It isn’t so simply. Confirming error uninstall: message “The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may incide a problem with this package. The error code is 2318”.

I found the solution! First of all uninstall using “registry cleaner” Microsoft fix it.
Upload here:

http://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall/

Reboot computer after removing the program and install upgrading wd my cloud app.

Thank you so much. This worked for me 100%.

I didn’t need to reboot though. All I did was run the MS fixt it program from the link you provided. I uninstalled V.1.0.5.40 of the my cloud windows app completely. Then I ran the V.1.0.5.41 executable and it worked.

Your solution also worked for me. The Windows App took a long time to correct the registry but I let it run and it not only fixed the problem, it automatically deleted WD My Cloud app. Thanks a bunch!!!
