Upload only new photos from iOS

I was kind of disappointed to see that the iPhone app does not automatically upload photos to myCloud the way my Android phone does.

That said, I have gone into my iPhone and iPad and manually uploaded all photos (over 3000).  Going forward, how do I make sure only the new photos (ones that have not already been uploaded) are sent to myCloud?

I don’t want to “select all” and then upload, I would rather it just know what has already been sent.

Is there a way to do this in iOS?

yes it’s a real pain that photos don’t auto sync in WD photos app
