WD MyCloud EX2 hangs - disconnects from network

I have had a WD MyCloud EX2 for two months now and have a reocurring fault.  At least once a week the drive will become inacessible from the network.  The only way to get it going is to unplug and plug back in at the mains. 

As this drive is used as a network file access solution, I am becoming untrusting of its resiliance and capability.  When it works, it works realy well, but I cannot afford to make sure I have someone available to restart the device when it hangs.

I have checked other network resources and they are all fine so it is not a network issue.  We have tried the device in different locations in the office and with different network cables and network ports, all to no avail.

4TB device, bought direct from WD Store UK.  It has a fixed IP setup and firmware is up to date. 

Any advice before I return the device would be greatly appreciated.

As a recommendation, Create a support ticket through the email support and send the logs of the drive so they can check the unit.
