I just installed 8tb ex2 on my network at home: Win7 Dell desktop pc cable connected to Asus RT-N56 wireless router attached to internet via Verizon dsl connection. The ex2 is cable connected to a port on the RT-N56 router.
I have created shares on the ex2 and can see directory structure and store and retreive files from the ex2 shares with no problems (other than exceedingly slow transfer speeds - which is a problem for another time).
What I need to do next is make the ex2 shares visible to my Dell work laptop so I can store and retreive files from the ex2. The office laptop is set up as a member of my company’s network domain. I need to make the shares visible with a wireless connection to my home network, if that makes any difference. The laptop can see the internet via the RT-N56 wireless router.
How do I make the ex2 shares visible to my work laptop - or is it even possible?
