I have 2 x MY Books connected to the USB ports in my EX2 for backups. I would like to periodically disconnect 1 of the My Books for offsite storage. What is the best/safest way to disconnect the My Book from the USB port? I have tried shutting down the EX2 and then disconnecting the My Book, but when I power the EX2 back up again the Backup Job List has completely disappeared from within the dashboard - is this normal??? Any advice/replies greatly appreciated - thanks.
To remove a USB disk, just log into the UI, click the USB icon, select the drive, and eject it. No need to shut the EX2 down.
