Security issues - mobile phone browser

 @Bill_S

 Hi . . . after reading the ‘Fishy security’ thread, I’d just like to ask why it is that, after  logging in in to WD2go on my mobile (Android) phone and then clicking on the ‘View shares’ button, both browsers - the pre installed Android one AND Google Chrome, show a security warning and do not give me the option to ignore or proceed. My only option is to log out.

The WD 2go WEB app is NOT for use on smartphones.  Only PC or MAC.

Thanks for the quick reply, Tony. The only reason I tried to access WD2go from my phone was because I was having so much trouble accessing MBLD remotely. I was not near wi fi or a computer. I realise that under normal circumstances that method would be less than ideal.

It’s not “less than ideal.”  It’s not going to work at all.

That is why there’s an Android WD 2go app.

I had assumed it was just a webpage. As stated previously, the Android WD2go app doesn’t function properly (so far) on my phone. Sorry if my stupidity offends . . .

Nah, no offense of course. It’s much more than a web page, there’s a whole java and WebDAV component that’s expected to be present on the host computer,
