Java causes Firefox to crash

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to get the WD2Go up and running for my MBL 2TB. 

I just installed the Java plugin (Java Platform SE 709 10.9.2.5) for Firefox 3.6.18.  I can get this far:

  1. EMail and password

  2. Select Device

  3. Enter in Share Password

  • CRASH

I first see the Java loading Splash, then I can see all of my shares with a button for “open in explorer”, then Firefox error message “Firefox has stopped working”.

Does anyone have a solution for this crash?

Have you tried with a different explorer or a different computer?

The problem seemed to be a faulty Firefox installation or update.  A complete removal of Firefox and fresh installation fixed the problem.
