How do you fix permissions for shares and/or users?

Would appear persmissions may have gotton corrupt some way or another? Creating a new user works fine for that new user’s directory, but unable to assign read/write/access to the existing shares. 

Hello pixelrogue. Have you tried power cycling the My Cloud? You can also try creating a share with the same name and just moving the files to that share?

Power cycling of course. Doesnt help though when you are away for a week and need to power cycle…and no admin functions from the iOS app.

Will try creating a new share and see how that goes. Even if it works, questions remain on how to prevent the need to do so, and not getting stonewalled when away from the device.
