I have several WD Data Lifeguard tools 11.3 cd’s that are very easy to use,
You can Wipe and reformat WD drives at ease with them,
So Why has WD discontinued them with WD drives and replaced the software with not so user friendly formatting software?
For my WD RE2 500gb drive the software download available only offers “Acronis True Image WD Edition”
but i fail to see the same simple menu’s from bootable cd at prompt like WD-DLT “Data Lifeguard tools”
for formatting and wiping the drive.
Now some people claim to say “they don’t offer Data Lifeguard tools because of new windows capability of formatting the drive for you during install”
For me personaly i like the WD Data Lifeguard tools cd and can use it with ease.
But is there any other software available of performing the same tasks as WD Data Lifeguard tools can through start up boot.? for dos
For a clear easy understanding question, Does WD provide a replacement of Data Lifeguard tools that you can boot thru startup without using it through windows for formating and wiping wd drives?
