So I had WD Anywhere on my desktop PC (Vista), backing up to a My Book World II. My desktop is now dead and the hard drive is unrecoverable . I now have a new laptop (Windows 7) and need to pull down some of the backup files to the new machine. I have located what I thought were the files on my My Book World II folders, but the files end in “.dcm”. I come to find these are not the files, but some kind of map for the software to recover the files… ugh.
So what do I need to do to get these files from my backup to my new laptop?
