i just bought a Mypassport Essential SE 750Gb drive - I tried to use it with a mini usb cable that came with my cell phone but it doesnt work. does this drive use a non standard “standard micro usb” connection? I
No it doesn’t. However, you should contact WD about the cable. You can do so either by phone or email.
