WD My Passport 1 TB is not getting detected : Failed to bind enclosure -19

This is what I see when I do dmesg on my ubuntu - drive is not detected on mac either :(( 

please help - it has tonnes of data of mine 

and drive makes a click noise constantly

Hello,

The clicking noise might be related to a power issue. Make sure the drive is plugged in directly to the USB port. Avoid any USB hubs and make sure you are using the standard USB cable that came with your drive.

Im using the standard usb cable and usb port in my laptop.

How to go about resolving this ?
