Unable to join my windows 2012 domain

I am trying to join my 

WD SHARE SPACE

FRIMWARE: 2.1.92 with MioNet 4.3.1.12 built on Thu, 09 Feb 2012 16:56:39

I have tried joining it to may 2012 domain but am always getting a fail. I have had no isseus joining any other PC’s to my network.  nslookup resolves properly.  thank you for the assistance. Is there a windows account that needs to be enable to join non pc based devices to the domain?

I think you’re facing a hardware/firmware limitation on the SS. It barely works on WS2008, so WS2012 is likely out of the question.
