MBWE loses system time

Hi, I switch my MBWE off overnight and when I put it back in the morning it always comes back up with the wrong system time.  For a while it would just default to 6 Nov 2008, more recently it seems to retain the date but still lose the time.  Has this device got a battery inside that has gone flat?  If not is there anything else I can do to sort the problem as otherwise files get saved with the wrong date which has severe implications for sync backups.

I’m not sure about the battery, but you might want to specify if you are using the older (Blue Ring) or newer (White light) model of the drive…If you aren’t sure, post your model number…
