WD,
Please give me back my data. I put it on the drive and it FAILED. Are all WD drive bad like this one was? If you don't get me my data back i'm gonna be really mad at you. GIVE ME MY DATA BACK! **bleep** YOU WD! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!

While everyone here is sympathetic to your issue, it's good practice to back up important data to two media sources or locations in order to be considered "protected". If the drive still operates and you'd like some pointers on data recovery, please post a reply. Maybe some or all of the data can be recovered. The level of success depend on the type and/or level of failure. All hardware fails, (any manufacturer) so it's important to take steps to guard against data loss.

It's also possible that some other software or component made it appear the drive stopped working.
Please share the symptoms.
One thing to try would be to install the drive as a slave on another system, to see if your data is accessible.

Hi,
Try using some data recovery softwares like " Recover FAT to NTFS" Which might help you recover the data from the drive.![]()
