What is the significance of LED status on Elements SE 1TB

I've just purchased a WD Elements SE 1 TB, and for lack of any info in the Quick Guide that came along with it, not anywhere else online, I thought I'd ask here :smileyhappy:

The single LED on the drive lights up when Elelemnts is hooked up to a USB port, but there seem to be 2 or 3 different kinds of ways in how the LED blinks.

  1. Rapid blinking LED - probably signifies drive in Read mode?
  2. Steady LED ( no blinking at all) - not sure what status this represents
  3. LED keeps blinking intermittently every 2 seconds  - Power saving mode?

These are the three stages I've seen the LED indication on my drive so far, and the above 3 status indications are what I am specualting they imply.
Could someone please throw some light on whether the LED status is what I think they signify, if not, please let me know what they actually represent.

Thanks :smileyhappy:

Btw: Wonder products. Very compact, Excellent write speeds for an external drive, and hardly gets warm (compared to other brands) :smileyhappy:

Thank you Awopero. Like you said, it did help a "little bit" :smileyhappy:
Just a little bewildered  that such a simple  question doesnt actually have an answer, given the fact that  with the lack of a conclusive manual, and the significance of the LED light  depciting the various states of function or trouble the drive could be displaying, this hasnt been addressed any where by the company .
