I have just bought a BAAU0010HBK 1tb hard drive, but I need to reformat it to FAT32 before I can use it. I have tried the formatting utility (WD FAT32 Formatter) from the WD technical site but it says "disk is too small or not supported".
I have tried everything I can think of, can anyone help???

I am trying to hook my WD Elements 1 TB drive to an Archos 404 dvr station
I want to be able to store more video then the 30 gig the Archos has on it
if I plus in a flash drive (4gig) it will access it and I can play the video straight from it
but if I plug in the new 1 TB drive it says not supported (ntfs) should I reformat under fat32 ?
and would this void the warranty of the WD Elements ?
looking to set up a tivo type setup in family room using Window Media Center edition hooked up to Large LCD TV
if anyone could help thanks

You can reformat the drive to FAT 32 and it will not void your warranty.

Thank You fzabkar, i used the GUI formater which was very simple, took seconds.
I am using the WD Element 1TB as a second hard drive for my Humax Foxsat-HDR, all working now.
Cheers
