paragraph breaks

When typing a post to this forum, I use the Enter key to make a paragraph break.  Once I've posted the message there's just one big block of text and I have to edit the post to re-do the paragraph breaks.

 

How do I make paragraph breaks at the original input stage?

 

Typical - it worked fine this time!

It depends on the browser....

 

iPad (Safari) for example, does the same thing...  Breaks are ignored.
