Problem:
My Passport Wireless does not charge battery while in use.
Cause:
Due to the amount of heat generated during charging and normal use, the battery will not charge while the internal hard disk drive is spinning. When the internal hard disk is spinning, and the unit is connected to a USB port or the included charger, the current battery level will be maintained; however, the battery will not charge.
Solution:
Discontinue use, so that the internal hard disk drive stops spinning, or turn the unit off. The battery will charge as long as the internal hard disk drive is not spinning, and is connected to a USB port or the included charger.
