Problems since updating to windows 8.1

i bought a 3TB mybook network drive last year, & have had no problems with it, up until i decided to upgrade from windows 8 to 8.1.

now, whenever i logoff & restart, i have to diconnect the connection to the drive, then re-map it. then, i have to re-enter the password, depite having the ‘remember my credentials’ box ticked.

Also since upgrading, copying files onto the drive takes a lot longer. what used to take a few minutes is now only about 10% finished, with 15 minutes already passed.

Any help would be reatly appreciated.

Just remembered that on the ‘My Pc’ screen, the Mybook icon is missing, but in it’s place is one identical to the regular C: drive, showing the same ‘memory used/remaining’ bar, but when clicking on that icon, opens up the Mybook drive.

bump!
