After installing the product it worked smoothly, After 3 weeks my computer couldn't connect anymore. The indication lamp turns amber. Resetting, reconnecting, reinsatlling the software on my computer, nothing worked. The computer runs on windows 8 beta. I've stored a lot of photo's on my disc, a soltion would be very welcome

Powercycle and press the reset button on the back of the My Book for 4 seconds. If that doesn't work you might need to replace it or contact a data recovery company to recover your files.
