Is there a free program that allows me to scan my mybooklive for malware or viruses?
Most Anti-virus or Malware programs will allow you specify a network drive to scan, providing your drives are mapped of course.
Scanning over the network could take sometime as its using the network bandwidth, and you’ll need to leave your PC on to do the scan.
The MBL runs Linux ‘under the hood’, so the drive itself is unlikely to be infected with malware or viruses, but of course the files you put on the MBL can still be infected.
